Maximum Pools

In June of 2020 I hired Maximum Pools to replaster my pool and spa. The day after the plaster work was completed I discovered 3 cracks in the new coping around the spa. After the pool was refilled I discovered black lines throughout the pool and spa plaster. Maximum Pools was supposed to polish the pool and spa before filling it but opted to skip this step without asking me.

I then reluctantly drained the pool and spa so they could sand and polish the plaster. Not only did the sanding fail to remove all of the black streaks, but the plaster now has new white marks from where they over sanded, revealing the material beneath the plaster. They refuse to acknowlege their mistakes. I would not recommend this pool company.

Kathy was amazing. We had our pool re-plastered and re- tiled. Her price was very competitive and she said it would be done in 2 weeks and it was done in exactly 2 weeks! Kathy was there every day to monitor the progress and kept in touch the whole time. We had several estimates and thankfully we picked the right one! Our pool looks great! Maximum Pools re-plastered my pool in February 2019. There were several issues during the process, but one issue caused my review to go from four stars to one star. After the plastering and the pool was filling, the water was clouded with plaster dust. But the next morning when the water was clear, I was shocked and dismayed to see that the pool drain cover (a 4 foot long anti-entrapment type) was cast into the pool at an angle as if the technician didn't even care to ensure alignment with the pool wall.

Now my pool has a drain cover that is several inches off of being aligned and looks like a third grader installed it. No response from Maximum Pools owner Kathleen Lundquist. Find another contractor for your pool.

Great company if there is a 10 star I would have put them at that level. Excellent company love my backyard now. Summertime is coming and can't wait until I show my family and friends the beautiful job they did.

Mr Ted and Kathy are first class all the way. New pools, design through completion is handled in a polite and courteous fashion. Let's all honor and give our business to people who care. Price is not everything. If I were to build anything, I would hire Ted in a flash.

We used this company to resurface our pool and re tile. The work was done very poorly, they agreed to drain and re polish and then went back and said they won't do it now. The tile work is horrible and after only two years it is cracking and needs to be redone. We paid a lot of money for this work and it is horrible workmanship. This company had us use the start up guy they wanted and he never even showed up!

This caused us to have to hire and pay another guy to fix everything that went wrong with no start up. Very sad that they don't even want to make right on their promise. We will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. *update As I said, we used the start up guy that this company asked us to use. We paid in full and he never showed up.

This was not our fault. Besides, the poor workmanship has nothing to do with the start up. Grout and tile cracking, polishing of surface uneven. We did not win in court because we signed a contract. And because this company lied over and over to judge about everything possible. Said we installed cameras on our house to watch them when the cameras were on our house before we moved in. Shady company, not to be trusted.

The best company you could ever find. Ted and Kathy are one of the kindest people when it comes to knowing what you want for your pool or spa. They both have good ideas and my pool came out absolutely perfect. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and hope to talk to you soon. I will invite you to my next barbecue.

Maximum Pools recently completed the re-plastering of our pool in April 2018. The owners and their crews were fabulous. Their craftsmen were efficient, careful, and did a superb job at each phase of the work. They completed the job in 2 weeks from beginning to end (based on our schedule). The pool looks wonderful! They were not the least expensive alternative we looked at.

But they provided us with the greatest sense of confidence and did not try to up-sell or pressure us, which many others tried to do. They provided expert advice throughout the process and gave us options when there were choices to be made, but left us to make informed decisions. They were concerned about our budget, which we appreciated. In getting pool work done, price is only one factor and, most likely, is not the most important one. We would highly recommend Maximum Pools and their services.

I owned a large pool service company in Orange County and I can tell you firsthand that Maximum Pools is a class act plaster company! Kathy treats all customers with so much respect. Ted is extremely knowledgeable and really strives for perfection. They do great work and I highly recommend them.

Avoid avoid avoid! Scammer company tries to upsell you on everything - talks bad about the competition, etc. Get them for your free estimate and you will see - I got a quote from these jokers and ended up going with the genuine Pebbletec competition. Maximum pools quote was twice the price for an inferior product, and half the warranty. Then they tried to upsell me on their cheaper terazzo finish. AVOID THIS COMPANY - check other reviews and see how these jokers are.

I have been dealing with contractors nearly all my life and I have never met one who was as true to their word until I met Kathleen and Ted. I interviewed 6 different companies getting quotes to re-tile, resurface my Pool and Spa. Kathleen and Ted not only were on time for every meeting we had but also knowledgeable, honest and did exactly what they said their company would do.

Once we agreed on a price, which by the way was more reasonable then any other company I interviewed, Ted and Kathleen gave me a work schedule. It never deviated from what they agreed to do and when it would be done. Their workers were on time, polite and most important they were very neat and clean. Ted and Kathleen were there every step of the way.

In today's world it is difficult to find people who not only do what they say they will do but also are pleasant to work with. They gave me great suggestions and ideas and I will use them soon to replace and upgrade my Pool equipment. Rest assure, if your looking to re-plaster your Pool and Spa or upgrade your Pool equipment, give this company a call, you will not be disappointed.

Had them come out to give a quote for a pool refinish. Representative was rude and condescending the whole time, and got irritated when I asked questions about warranty on finishes, and startup procedure. Even though I had called them specifically about a pebble finish, he told me "I didn't want that" and kept pushing a more expensive product. Apparently, they don't want you to ask any questions about anything at all.

The estimator eventually said, "I think I'm just gonna go now", and walked out without giving me an estimate. Total waste of time. UPDATE: Within an hour of writing this Yelp review, the owner called me and threatened to sue me if I didn't remove the review. How crazy is that? Based on my experience, I will not do business nor recommend Maximum Pool Plastering.

Maximum Pools just refurbished our pool and spa (which was previously ruined by another pool construction company based in Orange County, CA). They also changed out various old pool equipment and installed the Pentair wireless "Easy Touch" remote control system. Maximum Pools was thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They did what they said they would do, showed up on time, kept the job site clean, and performed the work diligently with qualified workers and high quality materials.

They stayed with the job until it was 100% completed to our satisfaction.unlike our last pool construction company who "ran away" when post-construction problems arose.leaving us very disappointed, and having wasted our money. But, with Maximum Pools we were left with a very favorable impression, feel we can count on them if we ever need them, and now have an awesome pool we can be proud of for many years to come.
