We found Justin off the internet! Put this poor guy through a tough recommendation process and he came through with flying colors. Not only is he a man of his word, his personal touch and job ownership put our fears at ease. Justin Petri has maintained our pool for 7 years, and we wouldn't think of using anyone else. He does great work, and we know we can trust him to keep things in the best of shape so things don't go wrong and cost us a fortune in repairs. First and foremost I'd highly recommend Petri Pools to anyone in the market for a pool update. I collected several bids on my project and selected Petri based on positive customer reviews, the professionalism of Mike Rakes who produced the bid and answered my follow-up questions and on their ability to start the project within a reasonable timeframe.

Prior to the start date Brennan came by, introduced himself as my project manager, gave me a useful project overview including timing of events and what to expect and professionally answered my questions. Brennan kept me informed throughout the project with almost daily communications and proved to be an MVP project manager. The only surprise in the project was a leak occurring after all concerned believed that every leak had been detected, repaired and paid for.

I should add that my pool is 37 years-old and had a number of leaks to address. After analysis it was clear that the leak was caused by shoddy work by a leak repair company ten years prior and that pressure testing could not have reasonably identified the leak. Petri was not at fault here but, given the circumstances, Brennan had the needed repair done at a very fair and reasonable price.

I believe Brennan and Petri Pools showed a lot of integrity and goodwill in quickly resolving this issue. My project wrapped up yesterday and we absolutely love the results. Our pool looks great, the project moved along at a good pace and I was never left in the dark concerning daily activities, timing, etc. Five Stars all the way.

We spent over $25,000 with Justin to remodel our pool. He then "sold" us on his pool service that would maintain the water levels, etc. of the pool he remodeled. He 'serviced' the pool, which resulted in the pool being toxic for our 3 year old and 1 year old along with adults to be able to swim in based on a hourly employee at Leslie's. His team confirmed that the water was toxic and needed to be drained, etc.

They confirmed that in two weeks they would drain, clean, and refill the pool. They didn't show up, or communicate with us. They didn't show up or stand behind their own product. If you would like to spend $25,000+ on a pool and be ignored, then this is your place. Worst customer service ever and SOLD on a 'product' using the term very loosely. I WOULD KEEP SHOPPING

My 22 yr old pool needed resurfacing and research showed Petri as being among the top in this area. I worked with Mike on the estimate and Rick overseeing the install of a beautiful Aqua-Blue Pebble Sheen re-surface. We are so happy to have found Petri Pools. From day one Mike and Jeff were professional, answered our questions and provided options. The staff spent a lot of time with us when selecting tile and pool surface. He even sprayed the tile so we could judge what it looked like wet. The crew did a fantastic job at each step and cleaned up after each process.

Important to us was communication. We always got a call if there was any change to the daily activity Every phase of the refurbish met our expectations. Petri Pools delivered the pool remodel my husband and I were looking for. Mike and Jeff along with all the crews involved in the project exceeded our expectations. Starting with the estimate process, Mike was very helpful and easy to work with answering all the questions we had regarding the cost and selection of materials. Once the project was scheduled to start, Jeff was very patient working with us on every step of the remodeling process and addressed each of our concerns and questions. Jeff was always up to date on the progress and came to check the work at least twice per week.

The crews were also excellent to work with. Our remodel involved demolition of the old deck area, replaced by travertine pavers, new pool coping and tile, and replastered with Pebble Tec finish. I had shown Mike a picture of exactly how we wanted our pool to look and Petri delivered just what we had envisioned. Like on any other project involving many pieces, there were a couple of snags that were quickly addressed by Jeff leaving you peace of mind the issue will be fixed.

Because of the pandemic, my husband and I were always home available, checking with the crews to make sure things were progressing correctly. We also contracted their pool service for maintenance, and so far, there have not been any issues with the pool, and have enjoyed very much it this summer. We had a wonderful experience with Petri Pools. They resurfaced our pool, re-tiled at the waterline, and totally rebuilt our spa. The craftsmanship was superb. The workers were punctual and professional. Brennan, our project manager, was the best. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and kept us informed every step of the way. Justin, the owner, was straightforward and professional, and provided sound advice to us at each juncture.

We were 100% satisfied with the investment that we made and will unequivocally recommend Petri Pools to others in the future. Oh, and by the way, our "new" pool and spa look beautiful!

We had previously used Petri Pools to replace our old DE Filter (which they rocked that job). Now, we used them for a full resurface and remodel of our pool. We had Petri do a full resurface as well as replace all tile and coping. From the beginning, Petri was super awesome to work with. I cannot count how many times we changed our minds on the surface finish, not to mention the tile choices.

Each time, Petri was patient with us and was there with us the entire time. Once the work was schedule, their project manager, Brennan, was always there informing us of the process as they went. When any issue arose, he was quick to get an answer. We did have an issue with the tile we had chose was no longer in stock. No worries, Brennan, went to the tile store and quickly had alternate samples for us to look at and settle on.

Throughout the process, we have multiple design concerns come up and Brennan and Petri took the time to talk with us so we all got on the same page and were comfortable before proceeding. We even had a jump rock put in, which was something we did not go in wanting. In the end, I highly recommend Petri Pools for any repair work and especially for pool remodeling. I will be giving their name to all my friends with pools who need this type of work. Remember, try to get Brennan as your PE and you will not be disappointed.

We just finished a remodel of our 18-year-old pool with Mike Rakes and Petri Pools and they definitely lived up to their positive reviews. We actually began the process almost two years ago but had to postpone the job (it was on our end, not theirs). They returned our deposit check with no argument and simply said they'd see us when we were back in the market.

Fast forward a couple years. we called Mike and he immediately remembered us. We set a meeting, picked out our stone, plaster and tile (different from what we had chosen before because tastes do change over time, after all) and set a start date for the Petri team. The remodel couldn't have gone any smoother. The artisans they sent out started early, worked late and finished the job well before the deadline. Mike himself was there to inspect on a regular basis and was always quick to answer the phone if we had questions.

We have an oddly-shaped pool and Mike's recommendations on the stonework (framing the sheer descent waterfalls, for example) made the pool look much better than it did even when it was new. Mike and the team at Petri understand customer service and are experts at all things swimming pool-related. Even though we did the remodel after swimming season had come and gone, we already feel like we're getting our money's worth because we sit outside and stare at our new work of art nearly every night. We received estimates from four different pool remodeling businesses. All were competitively priced and had A+ ratings with the Dallas BBB. We ultimately chose Petri Pools based on their abundance of already existing positive reviews. They almost sounded too good to be true. Our remodel project entailed cutting out the original cantilever deck edge replacing it with flagstone, replacing our waterline tile, and resurfacing the pools interior. Wow!
