Design details for proper circulation and the ability for automatic pool sweeps to be able to effectively do their job is extremely important and there are no do-overs with regards to this after construction.

Worst contractor EVER! No communication, blamed everything on everybody and anything else, weather, covid, his subcontractors. Which were lies because I contacted them directly and they said they weren't called to do the job until a day or two before. They also came while we were not home so we couldn't supervise. I was called impatient because it took 9 months to get to the plaster phase of construction.
I had a letter of intent to lien because Darrell doesn't pay bills (which is not fully paid yet) from work done in november. Did not respond to texts or calls until a letter sent to him from my attorney. He claimed he did not know but he was sent the same certified letter. Just another Darrell lie. I had to pay the decking guy directly because he was cash only.
Never gave any instruction of what equipment was needed, how to operate equipment (because I don't think he knows how). He had the audacity to send a link from another pool company about equipment and while I reviewed it Knock Out Pools mentioned a job started Oct. 2020 and finished in 41 days! Darrell James does not care about anything except collecting his money.
When he was paid his final check he was GONE. 5 weeks went by and no final grading, no mastic install. There are many people in this same situation with no communication and unfinished work. Also the positive reviews here are from family members and friends from church, I did my research. Don't be fooled, he is full of promises he will not keep. Now his website is offline.

Darrell was amazing. We are so pleased with the build of our pool. We had a budget and he made sure we got everything we wanted within the budget. Super fast on the build. Kind and professional. Always responsive when I call or text and always willing to help with any questions I have regarding the pool. We are so glad we used Darrell and would use him again in the future with another build.

Darrel at Burleson Custom Pools has built 2 pools for us and each pool turned out great. I am extremely picky and he was very patient with me. I will say that that the second pool took longer but not his fault. From what I understand, during summer after COVID hit everyone in the world wanted to build pools. I will say it was worth the wait! Price was great for the excellent quality of pool I got.

Do not use this guy. He will steal your money and never respond to texts. "Shady" is an understatement. Started build in April of 2020 and by Jun 30th we were still waiting for it to be done. Then he says if we want it done by July 4th going to cost extra. Never came back to finish concrete. Guy is a joke. have all the texts to prove it.

I Don't know what to say other than Wow just WOW! What an awesome company! I couldn't have asked for a more professional, honest, dependable company to build my pool. Working with Darrell & Brandy were a dream, they were AWESOME. I felt like I have known them forever, because they made me feel like family. They eased all my fears when it came down to the final design & process.
It was so heart warming to have such honest people to be up front on what it all would take to get the job done right & see the final product! They never sugar coated anything and with the pandemic they were honest how things were taking a little longer than usual. At least I knew my pool would be done right & not rushed. If waiting a little longer meant getting my dream pool & to have patience then hey I'm all for it!
I would recommend them to anyone & everyone! I can't say enough about Burleson Custom Pools other than Wow just WOW! Thank you for being a genuine company that takes pride & ownership in their work! Once again you guys are awesome!
