My pool just passed the final inspection 6/23/16 with flying colors. These guys are professionals and surprisingly fast. Our pool was ready in 7 weeks. Reliable and trustworthy. I did my research before signing the contract and they are spot on with their statements of reliability. Perhaps I paid more when compared with other estimates, but in my experience with them a few more thousands are worth having the project completed and without head aches. John is awesome, inspections went great, neat work. Highly recommend this pool contractor, even the inspectors had great things to say about them.

Too bad there is not a 6 star, because Custom Pools definitely deserves that rating! This company is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it hands down to anyone thinking of building a pool, renovating, or any other swimming pool or spa needs you may have. I recently finished the pool in my house with a different company (I'm actually being generous by calling it a company because it is a joke of a business and they should have their license revoked!!!) because it was an absolute nightmare.
There are no words to describe the terrors we went through with those people but I will definitely do my very best to describe it when I review them later on. On the other hand, I had a spa installed in my house by Custom Pools and from the owner to his employees were all extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and very generous! They moved and installed my spa, started it and left it running perfectly.
And also when the owner of Custom Pools went to my house, I told him about my previous horrible experience and asked him if he could help me with figuring out how to work my new salt water pool system because the other company did not. Not only did he teach me how to work the system but he went the extra mile and sent a group of three technicians the very next day to put in the salt for me and also told them to install a drain hose into the system for when I need to lower the water level or drain anything from the pool.
He went on and beyond, never asking for a dime or any type of compensation. Instead he always offered his help and gave me his personal number and told me to save it for any questions or concerns I may have in the future. I am just very sorry that i did not find them sooner and had them build the pool for my family. Im sure it would not had taken them 8 months to finish.

I'm more than satisfied with this company from the beginning of the construction till the end, the one feeling I kept going through during the entire process was, "piece of mind", I'm the type of of person that is always on top of things at work at home on projects, however this company really gave me that a " piece of mind". They took care everything from permits, licenses, questions, coaching on how to maintain etc.
And constructions can be somehow unpredictable, because it takes third party teams, such as subcontractors or city approvals etc, no matter what challenges the project faced, Custom Pool handled it and took care of it. I couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism, service delivered and quality of work. From the girls in the office Maria and Stephanie were always there to answer my questions, Rich came so many times to my house just to show me or answer a concern I have in how to operate it, and finally Dago the owner who always demostrated my satisfaction was his goal. I'm extremely happy I picked them to make my backyard the best backyard I could ever imagine to have.

I would highly recommend anyone looking to build a pool to look no further than Custom Pools. From day 1, Hugo and Dago worked with me and my family to land on a design we liked, patiently working with us as our design evolved over time, pricing different options and never pressuring us to go one way or the other (in fact, I liked the fact that they only required a very small deposit to sign the contract as opposed to the 20% or more than other companies were asking for).
Ultimately the pool came out exactly how we wanted it (our design was quite custom, with several benches, a spa and a curved beach area with a bubbler, water slide with water hookup and it also required removing an existing pool) and we could not be happier. We hear horror stories often about pools taking forever to be finished. Custom Pools started on time, worked with large and experienced crews that got the job done quickly and professionally and they were able to finish the pool right on schedule--about 3 months from ground breaking to plastered.
It was never more than a few days before the crew for the next phase was at our house (and Rick stopping by almost every day to check on progress). Along the process, we referred often to the project timeline and progress tracker that Custom Pools makes available through its web portal or, if we had any questions, we always got an answer from Hugo in a few hours.
Our shellstone patio and deck with large pavers came out amazing as well. As with any construction project, there will always be hiccups but, when one was encountered (really there were not that many), the team, including Dago, were here quickly to resolve it. When looking into pool contractors I received about 7 quotes. Custom Pools of miami was able to offer the best pool, dollar for dollar. Custom Pools did a sensational job on my pool. Taking only 7 weeks from start of construction to us swimming, They exceeded our expectations. When we first bought our home in 2019, we absolutely knew that we wanted to build a pool. After doing some renovations inside our home, 2 years later it was time to start looking for a pool contractor that would build our dream pool. I was searching online for pool builders in Kendall they popped up on Google, gave them a call and went right over to there Miami office. It was our first experience building a pool and first time working with the pool company Custom Pools Miami. They recently redid our friends pool so we thought we give them a shot. From the very beginning Dago showed a lot of patience with all our questions and explained all the details that we needed to take into consideration. Ive lived all my life in Miami Florida and I have heard and seen many horror stories on pool contractors. I saw a sign from Custom pools Miami right down the street from my home and I saw everyday how early the crews got there. I called the office and immediately the customer service girl Amanda took my call and set up my appointment. The salesperson Hugo helped me design the pool and gave me the budget.
I signed and with Custom Pools and they started the permit process right away. I met with Dago and he came over for our predig meeting and detailed the schedule and the complete pool construction process. My pool was completed in 6 weeks, Custom Pools Miami is amazing and I can definitely say they are the best pool contractors in Miami.

Thanks to Dago from Custom Pools Miami I was ale to get my pool. He was the only pool contractor in Miami that would do a public hearing to build my pool. I asked over 10 pool contractors and none would do what he did. It took like 8 moths to get it but I was so happy when it was approved. Before beginning the process of pool building, my husband and I researched and inquired with close to 15 Miami pool companies. Once we narrowed it down to 4 South Florida companies, we met with them individually and asked everything from A-Z. While the questions continued via email and telephone, several people seemed too busy to be bothered.
We are investing thousands and wanted to make sure we knew what we were getting ourselves into. With Custom Pools, every single thing was answered and explained by the owner himself. There aren't enough great things I can say about this company and about Dago, the owner. The quote was straightforward, options were amazing, and communication was spectacular. Dago made himself available 24-7 and we were so impressed by his professionalism and the skill of his building team.
From start to finish, our pool build took less than 3 months. Not only was the work done well but the crew was kind, honest, cleaned up every day and overall so pleasant to have around. One of the most impressive events was when the crew was digging the hole and hit the sewer pipe which we had told them was somewhere else. Within 2 hours, Dago had a plumbing company replacing everything.

What Can I say about this pool company. Simply the best. I doubt you will ever meet a owner like Dago that goes up and beyond in promising, delivering and catering to your needs. Pool took 7 weeks from start to completion and whenever there was any issues like a faulty led light or vacuum not working properly he was there to take care of it the very next day.

Not only did he teach me how to work the system but he went the extra mile and sent a group of three technicians the very next day to put in the salt for me and also told them to install a drain hose into the system for when I need to lower the water level or drain anything from the pool.
He went on and beyond, never asking for a dime or any type of compensation. Instead he always offered his help and gave me his personal number and told me to save it for any questions or concerns I may have in the future. I am just very sorry that i did not find them sooner and had them build the pool for my family. Im sure it would not had taken them 8 months to finish.
There are no words to describe the terrors we went through with those people but I will definitely do my very best to describe it when I review them later on. On the other hand, I had a spa installed in my house by Custom Pools and from the owner to his employees were all extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and very generous! They moved and installed my spa, started it and left it running perfectly.
And also when the owner of Custom Pools went to my house, I told him about my previous horrible experience and asked him if he could help me with figuring out how to work my new salt water pool system because the other company did not. Over the years I heard from many people that Custom Pools was the best in town. So when my wife and I decided to build a pool we went directly to Custom Pools, and we are glad we did. Irv, John, Marilyn and Bob were great. They worked efficiently and wasted no time. Every day when we got home from work something New was done. I couldn't believe how quickly they got everything done.
They broke ground on Nov 12 and passed final inspection on Feb 2. And they were on vacation for three weeks in December. I also spoke with all of their subcontractors to get an idea of how they run their business. Every last one of them had nothing but good things to say about Custom Pools. It has now been almost a year since they finished our pool and we have had no issues. These guys are the real deal.

I would like to offer my highest recommendation to Custom Pools for a pool renovation that exceeded all expectations for customer service, pricing, quality of workmanship, and overall "menchiness" of the owner, his staff and his workers. I had received only one word-of-mouth recommendation, for Essig Pools. Yet a month after my initial (and many subsequent) calls for someone to come out and provide me with an estimate, I was still waiting for a call back from the sales department.
What more can I say about Essig? With no additional leads I began searching online when I came across Mary E.'s 5/23/10 Yelp recommendation for Custom Pools. Her comments were helpful and I decided to follow up. From my first phone contact to set up an appointment with one of the owners I sensed I would be dealing with a professional, responsive and friendly group of people and was not disappointed.
They respected my desire to take a practical, no frills approach to the renovation, which included leak repair, new coping and tiles, resurfacing of the pool, and a new patio. Having steered clear of the higher priced products, I must say that the finished pool and patio are even nicer than what I expected - a really striking and magnificent improvement to our home.
And finally, I will offer that as I've begun to speak to other longtime locals connected to outdoor services, I have learned just how respected the company is by others in the business. All have said just what I, too, know, that they are upstanding people who can be trusted and offer a good product for a fair price.

Ok, so my pool was in major disaster mode and needed a major overhaul years ago. So I finally got down to business and did my research and (hopefully!) got the best bang for my buck. John, the owner, is a very cool fella and was very cool with my haggling and agreed to do the job at MY price, which was very competitive (if you know what I mean-- and I'm sure you don't, but no matter, it was a GOOD price).
I think they did a good job; this is one of those jobs that is hard to determine because it takes a long time --years, actually to know if the job was done right. However from a superficial perspective (keeping in mind that the state my pool was in to begin with, was horrendous!), it looks pretty good. We had some reservations about the time frame, but John was true to his word and finished on schedule.
Pool is now getting its water back so I won't know how pretty it will look for a couple days. Thank you John, custom pools, for giving me back a pool I can swim and walk in that doesn't make my feet bleed! And thank you Angel and Angel for doing the work!
