Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value This company should close down. They have my account for many years now and this is what he did to my pool. I have been telling him for months and no communication at all. Do not hire this company for your pool service. He will ruin your pool.

I cannot recommend Aquamarine Pool Service. I just cancelled the service after my neighbor told me I shouldn't have to backwash the filter myself - and that was within 2 weeks of a filter clean - pressure dropped to the point of no suction at the vacuum and dribbles at the waterfall. The reason for this was that I paid for replacement grids in my DE filter but I didn't actually get the new grids.
I just found out that I still have the original old grids. The pool technicians are in and out in less than 10 minutes and have rarely, if at all brushed the pool walls. They even didn't brush or treat the black algae. My new pool service has been twice now and the pool is cleaner and more crystal clear than ever. I had literally forgotten what a crystal clear pool looked like. - Update - Actually they didn't follow up to check on service levels.
When my new pool service technician explained that the need to backwash the filter every week was because they were the original old grids (and showed them to me) I contacted Aquamarine for a refund of the money I paid for new grids that I didn't get. Other things that I can report:: pool parts were sometimes left lying on the pool deck. I came home once to find the pool had drained to 3 feet below the tile.
The pool technician had left the valve on the top of the filter open and the pool water was flowing out. If I had been delayed at work I would have come home to an empty pool. I have the right (and duty) to write a review to inform those looking for pool service of my experience. Use your judgment, Aquamarine does have some good reviews. Maybe they are from different locations and I was just unlucky.
I am now paying slightly more, but the pool is looking the best it has for a long time, no more backwashing, and the new technician instantly replaced an o-ring so the pump no longer leaks.

Well, on the Google search it doesn't say that they are closed nor open. So, I called. Dave answered, this is Dave. That's it. After I said hello, I am looking for a pool service company. Ok and so was the answer. I then asked would you be able to come out today to check out my pool heater. He answered no not today and immediately hung up. My question is, why answer the phone and entertain the conversation.
Why not say. hello this is "THE BUSINESSES NAME" although we are closed I may be able to set you up for an appointment within the week. Or something simple, if that is too complicated, hello how may I help you. Thanks, you've made my selection choosing a pool service company a whole lot easier.

Our pool has never looked better. Aquamarine Pool Service is an excellent service. Our pool is sparkling. They are also very good at repairing any problems we have had. They are quite to respond.
