A designer came out in December, we had a good chat, she said she'd get back to us after the holidays. After several attempts to contact her, she answered our call in early March. She admitted she let us down, said she would have a different designer take over. A week later we received an email from a different designer who said she was looking forward to working with us.
We responded back to her that we were anxious to move forward. Never heard from her again. So we pivoted to MasterAZScapes. They've proven to be everything Creative Environments wasn't - professional, responsive, great people to work with. The designs were very thoughtful, and contained many delightful elements

We were told this company had a partnership with our home builder (Toll Brothers) and because of that, they could have our backyard done prior to closing. They were definitely on the expensive side but we thought it was worth it so we could get our yard done before we moved in to avoid any disruptions due to the fact that I work from home. We closed on our house 10/7 and they are still not complete (1/5/22 today).
We did not get a pool, we did not get any fancy water features. We got a gas fire pit and and outdoor kitchen. They repeatedly made mistakes when it came to getting permits and failed multiple inspections which caused delays. They have been unable to manage any expectations and they take no ownership of their process. Everything is somebody else's fault.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, you can get any and all of these services elsewhere for much less with the same quality. If our backyard was immaculate and absolutely stunning I could forgive the tardiness because they are working towards perfection, but that just isn't the case. The backyard looks fine, but it is not worth what we paid. Do yourself a favor and shop around.

Creative did a great job on our overall plan and execution of getting our backyard landscape, pool, spa, and hardscape completed just how we wanted it. Jeremy was awesome to work with from the start and stuck with us throughout the entire process beginning with conceptual design and ending with a solid plan. Ryan, Joel, Kylee, and Alyssa were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable in how they followed up on the things that needed addressed.
The communication with Creative has ALWAYS been top notch. I can't think of any company that is perfect in all that they do, however Creative responded to the issues we had in a timely and professional manner and that is what makes them a great company! Nice work team and thanks for making this a fun and rewarding experience for us.

Review for creative This is my first review of Creative Environments and I will try to be as accurate as possible without letting my frustration take complete control. Our home builder has a relationship with creative and they are the preferred landscape/pool company for our home builder. We were given an incentive to work with Creative and as part of the incentive Creative was to complete the job on or slightly after our closing date.
We signed our contract, and made our deposits to Creative Environments in February of 2021. Our house was set to close September 2021. By the end of March 2021 we had met with Creative and made all of our option selections. Our plans were set and my wife and I had fulfilled our end of the agreement. Fast-forward to August of 2021 when we confirmed our exact closing date of September 30th, 2021 Creative emailed us that the travertine we chose they no longer carried.
Which means they didn't order any of our materials (including travertine), and when they attempted to order our materials (almost 5 months later), they were told it's not available. They then gave us 3 options of travertine; 1 option was a big downgrade (for the same price as our original option) and the brown/yellow color of it would clash with the colors of our home.
So that option was no good. The other 2 options were much better but there was an uncharge of $5k, which they wanted us to cover. After a heated discussion Creative did agree to cover roughly half the cost. Either way we had to pay additional out of our pocket even though they dropped the ball to begin with. Thats not all. The new travertine we chose is sourced from turkey and they estimated 8 weeks before shipping.
The travertine issue threw a wrench in everything since the whole back yard and our courtyard relies on that to be installed first before completing the rest. Present time. Our backyard does have a pool that has been dug, but no shotcrete yet and have now been given 2 failed dates on when that will occur. So even though there is a hole in our backyard it's still just dirt.
Our patio is still dirt. Our courtyard is still dirt. And even though we don't need travertine for our front yard, that is sadly also still DIRT. I have been trying to get answers from out construction manager Kolten, and protect manager Ted Campbell but it seems that we are not important enough clients to receive a response. Its been 6 months now and the majority of our landscape is still dirt.
As you can see I am beyond frustrated. I can understand material shortages, I can understand labor shortages, I can understand bad weather conditions as reasons for delays. What I can not understand is poor customer service, not ordering product with 6 months of time, not responding to a paying client, and not having a reliable plan even after dropping the ball.
The final work I've seen from other creative customers looks amazing. But when I speak to the owners they've also had similar experiences. At this point I am working to break away from doing business with them and I urge anyone wanting to do business with them to really do your research.

I was told I would get phone calls, but never got them. I was promote to answer my emails and thought I had forgotten to reply at times but looking at my email history, it would be weeks to get an email replied. It seems like I was not a concern or priority when trying to ask for their services. I wish I didn't waste so much time waiting.

Creative Environments was the chosen subcontractor by my new home builder Toll Bros. for front and back yard landscape and hardscape, should we choose to use them. Well, we did. Not gonna lie, as it wouldn't be fair, but there were bumps along the way with the process. some communication breakdowns and such, but the end result looks like something out of Better Homes and Gardens!
Our home was completed this past March, 2019. Now as the plants and trees begin to mature, the property looks AMAZING! Our designer was Brittany Blackwell. Her foresight as it turns out, from just an empty lot and some computer drawings made our yard come alive! The backyard specifically is a super beautiful, private oasis! She took my idea for a swimming pool and created precisely what I had envisioned.
The pool, gas fire sitting area, all the plants, mounds of dirt and tree placement ALL look like money! We could not be any happier. Along the way we shared some tough talks, but it wouldn't be fair not to share our complete satisfaction here, with the end result. I would post a picture of the final results, but with this past few days of harsh storms, we have some damage that needs tending to.
I read through some of the previous reviews here. There does seem to be a common thread.lack of communication. That was certainly our first issues way back when, but we persevered and could not be happier with Brittany's fabulous design talents and the outdoor environment we will enjoy for years to come. Thank you Brittany! Chris Hall

We'd previously used the professionals at Creative Environments to do some tile work at our former home so did not hesitate to contact them again for more extensive work when we recently moved. Our vision was completed with guidance from our project designer Jeremy was consistently available and flexible. Our design was captured well on paper and transformed beautifully to the finished landscaping, carried out by a team of dedicated workmen over the course of two weeks as promised. It will be an ideal place for outdoor entertaining once we're able to do so; in the meantime, it's a great relaxion spot for expanding our social isolation living space

My neighbors invited us over for a bbq last week to show off their completely renovated back yard. It really did look great and seemed much bigger. After asking them about it they told us Creative Environments designed and implemented it. Monday I'll be calling them to see if they can help redesign my backyard!
