Started out great. We had a great relationship with the manager Rachel. Gave a deposit in cash so we could get a discount. Got it done on the December but we're not happy with some spots in the pool. I reached out to the manager who blamed the"applicator" which is a totally different person than Tampa pool restorations. But, the applicator blame the person who did the prep work, i.e. the owner of the company Tampa pool restorations.
No one wants to take responsibility for the issues that are wrong with the the pool. Tampa pool restoration does not take any responsibility for the people they subcontract to do the work. The owner of the company, has not been by since he did the prep work. Only the manager responds. But now she doesn't respond anymore. Do not use this company. I am still waiting for a copy of my warranty. Very unprofessional company.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness 10/22/21- Never showed up for the estimated cost of resurfacing our pool with marsite. She told me she was 5-10 away then she said she was a minute away? The appointment was for 11:00am and a few hours passed? Not a word back. Very disappointed and unprofessional.

Unfortunately they are like alot of other companies down here in Tampa. They arrived to survey the job area and work request but never provided us with a quote or answered any follow up texts or calls. I cant understand why anyone would waste their own time like that, not to mention a potential customers time.

Photos attached to prove my case. My pool has pop up sprayers. You can see the before pic of the pool and Jerold, the owner jackhammering around the pop up sprayers to allow for a flush finish for the new product. Then you have photos of the stairs where too much product was installed yet all around the rest of the pool the product was installed flush around the pop up spray heads.
See attached photos. Rather than admit a mistake that is as clear as day, Jerold and Rachel continued to lie saying everything from, "It's perfect, "we told you to have risers installed" and calling us liars. The only resolution offered was for me to pay an additional $500 to install risers. I immediately stopped final payment and said I'm not paying a dime more and you will not get your balance until this is resolved.
It was so obvious it was wrong on all the heads on the stairs and yet correct around the other heads on the floor. Pictures tell all. For the record, I had two other pool companies come out and agree it is wrong and needs to be redone. I also have email after email denying any wrongdoing. Once the President of Florida Pool Builders got involved we finally got resolution. Took weeks and a massive headache to get it resolved.
For the owner, Jerold to stand on my pool deck insulting my intelligence wanting me to believe I was at fault was the last straw. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, Jerold or Rachel. No integrity whatsoever. FOLLOW UP TO YOUR FALSE RESPONSE: Rachael, Since you did respond with false statements I thought it would be fair for your potential customers to get the full story.
I was hoping to not have to post your estimate and your follow up email prior to us hiring you but you left me no choice after reading your untruthful response to my review. Therefore, here is even more evidence for my case and most importantly your potential customer. You gave us two choices for the floor heads. See attached estimate: 1) To pay an additional $1,200 dollars to have Tampa Pool Restorations install new heads. 2) SAVE EXISTING HEADS and have them reinstalled after new surface is applied.
It says nothing about they won't work if you do it this way or you MUST install risers for them to work. This is in YOUR proposal that I attached. YOUR WORDS! Then in your email you state: "jackhammering the existing finish from around the returns in order for the applicators to give as flush a finish as possible". Not 1 1/2 inches deep, Rachael. As flush as possible!
See attached photos potential customers. That is exactly why I offered to litigate in court as you chose not to since you had no case. Rather than admit you did a poor job and remedy it immediately you went on the attack blaming the customer and write long winded emails with no substance. I'm just letting the customer know if that is what they want to deal with that it their choice. Lastly, and most importantly, why would Anthony, the owner of The Pool Guys Of Tampa Bay and past President of Florida Swimming Pool Association say it's wrong and the only way around it was to remove the existing surface and redo it?
For the record, your accusation of using a pool maintenance guy and not a licensed builder is another lie. The Pool Guys of Tampa Bay's license is SCC131151836. I can also post his email if needed. Buyer beware! I would never recommend Tampa Pool Restorations. And yes, after being put through hell because of your lack of customer service the pool does look great.

Big shout out toTampa Pool Restorations! From Rachael(sale rep) to all the crews/crew people that worked on our old pool to make it look brand new! Yes I said brand new. Rachael came to the house looked at the pool- gave us options to pick from- all our choice- no high pressure sales pitch-- just the facts for us to make our choice. Here's the time line: Monday 11/02/2020: Jerold and his worker pecked away all the old top cap ugly brown (end of the day all was cleaned up and ready for tomorrow.) Tuesday 11/03/2020: Jerold and his worker finished to removing the top cap and layered boarding up to place my new blue tile on. (end of day all was cleaned up) Wednesday 11/04/2020: Jerold and his worker finished that tile and then put the top cap (Cobalt Blue) on. BEAUTIFUL! (end of day all cleaned up) Thursday 11/05/2020: Finished the top cap and all the little stuff that needed to be done- final job for the day was to bond seal the pool for process for Friday (all cleaned up) Friday 11/06/2020: A whole new crew- two huge trucks- equipment all over the place.
I call these guys "The Smurfs" because it looked like "blue icing" the color of the Smurfs. In fact I walked out back and yelled "Who let the Smurfs out?" The boss man laughed. I asked if I could take pictures- sure was the boss man's answer- we don't charge too much for that and laughed. Any questions I had was answered-- what a polite respectful crew.
When this crew was done the pool looked great-no garbage or trash left behind- no junk in the street left behind- EVERYTHING was cleaned up as if no one was here. Saturday 11/06/2020: The "lonely" guy came and did the final wash of the pool-- he was so polite-- answered any questions I asked- cleaned up his mess- made sure all was good- set everything in place to start filling the pool. Told us what to expect- the pool's color would come out more as the pool fills. (end of his job no trash or garbage left behind) Tuesday 11/10/2020: Final day- Jerold and his worker back out for the chemical start up- Made sure I was pleased with everything! i.e.: the workmanship- the color. Walked the area to make sure all was clean- which it was.
And with that said: This was the most enjoyable experience, from the beginning to the end. Thank you Rachael and Jerold for the "NEW" look on an "old" pool. Thank you Respectfully Roxy J Eales

Jerold, owner of Tampa pool restoration was professional and did exactly what was quoted. He showed up to my home everyday at the time he said he would be there. He and his assistant completed resurfacing of my pool deck over 4 days allowing each application to dry completely. The finish product met my expectations. It is a pleasure to work with a contractor of high integrity and character.
Also his office manager, Rachael was good to work with. In fact, we called several resurfacing companies and Tampa pool restoration was only one that called back the next day. I would certainly refer them to friend and family. Thank you Tampa Pool Restoration
