Where to begin? Our problems arose soon after seeing the pool being installed and realizing it was too close to the house. The salesman didn't bother to point that out. Unfortunately we were ignorant of schematics. This is our first build. Okay, our bad. The pool and spa were installed on time in our new construction house but soon after moving in we realized the overflow was not properly installed. Additionally, the pool was leaking due to installation of an off market part in the pump system.
This was eventually addressed 4 months in. Realized very quickly they were very unresponsive to issues and it was very difficult to get them to come out to address. Many many excuses were given. Then, at the 11 month point before the warranty expiration we tried to reach them to advise them of a cracked tile and a possible ongoing leak but after two months we've had no response despite numerous emails, service requests via their website, and messages left with two staff members who promised emails would be sent to the service department.
We are now 14 months post installation and still have heard from no one. We are adding water to the pool every 2 days. I must have placed 50+ calls to this company over the last year. Of all the trades we've dealt with concerning our new house they are by far the most unresponsible, unresponsive, and least professional. Our builder no longer uses them apparently.
We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still no response. Research them with the BBB and you'll see. They have suggested I file a complaint with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Fair warning. I rarely post reviews but feel compelled in this situation. I do want to point out that our technician Jesse who provided our "pool school" was fantastic. He should be running the company. If I hear from the company after this post and have the issues resolved happily I will amend this.

Update 5/15/22: In March we posted a complaint on the BBB website which received an immediate response from Holiday Pools. They setup an on-site meeting with the cage company and said they would get everything resolved. Unfortunately, 8 weeks later the pool is still not complete. They did repair the pool cage, which took 4 weeks, and they did some cement work.
We attempted to contact Holiday Pools multiple times this week and there has been no response. As a data point, many neighbors are getting their pools built and completed in less than 8 weeks. Original review: We signed a contract with Holiday Pools in August 2020. Taylor M, our sales person, said the pool would be complete by the end of December 2020.
After much prompting, the pool build actually started in February 2021. Now, one year and seven months later, we are still waiting for a complete pool. The shell, plumbing and most of the equipment has been sitting there for months. The pool cage was partially completed and one beam has buckled from the wind. It looks like it may fall down at any moment and this is a huge safety concern.
We notified Holiday Pools of the issue 2 weeks ago and nobody has even shown up to look at it. When Holiday Pools actually shows up, maybe once a month if we are lucky, they work for a day and then disappear again. We have repeatedly asked for a completion date and there is no communication from the company regarding this. The few times we have been able to speak to anyone at Holiday Pools we hear the typical excuses.
Material shortages, lack of labor, COVID, ect. While those are reasonable excuses, Holiday Pools started our friends pool in October 2021 and it was completed 4 months later. So the obvious question, why weren't those workers and materials used to complete our pool which is more than a year past the expected completion date. And the next question, if they do have all these problems why does Holiday Pools continue to take on new work.
Holiday Pools has invoiced us multiple times for incomplete milestones, each time I respond with pictures of the incomplete work but the invoices continue. The work that has been completed has various issues that have not been addressed, like sharp glass tiles on the spa, concrete splattered on the coping, a pool cage that is falling down and so on. We warn everyone we meet to stay away from Holiday Pools, they appear to be too busy with the large home builder contracts to pay any attention to individual homeowners.

We have a beautiful, gorgeous pool from Holiday Pools of West Florida. It took 10 months for completion, (which was more than originally conveyed to us) and we had many issues with their lack of communication and follow through BUT. we are so happy with the pool, deck, pavers, fire place and workmanship. We appreciate Dan ( QC manager) for his follow up and follow through with issues and getting our pool completed.
We appreciate Jessica ( construction manager) for returning emails and phone calls. I know she is super busy and can't always get back to people. I know hiring people these days is difficult but Jessica could really use the help. I can't say this was an enjoyable experience to have a pool built, but neither is having a house built these days! Thank you Holiday Pools of West Florida for our beautiful pool!

Over the pool build, I have updated my review several times. Often, it was a cry for help as I could not get a response from the construction manager as to an update or timeline. I'll try my best to give a fair review. The bad: 80% of the headache was due to Taylor in sales. She did not follow up and in general, did not seem to be very engaged in her job.
Pool was initially delayed as she lost the contract and deposit. Then, it was later discovered that she left out items I selected and were included in the final price in the contract. This caused an avoidable and unnecessary dispute with the owner. In the end, Holiday did rectify this to their credit. The construction manager is overwhelmed and probably needs help.
The number one issue was lack of communication on her part. This caused us a ton of frustration as material shortages and supply issues were not communicated. I understand the current environment is difficult, but please let your clients know if there is an issue or setback. The good: Dan, the quality control manager, was fantastic and kept me fairly sane during this process. Dan did respond to my calls / texts and basically took over the last two weeks for the construction manager to get the project completed.
I probably drove him crazy, but he earned the bottle of Tito's I am about to drop off in appreciation of his efforts. The construction of the pool itself, while slow, came in waves. When we were scheduled, the crew was very professional and hard working. I was very impressed with Holiday's construction operation. The pool itself turned out beautiful and we are very happy with the final product.
There are a few items to fix, but the warranty department has been very impressive and quick to correct the more major issues. I have attached a couple of photos of the final product. Edit 3.22.22: Warranty department has been terrible and I have lost hope that they will follow up after 5 unanswered calls. Allan eventually called me to try to collect $500 for an upgraded pump, but has not performed the agreed upon warranty fixes to date. At this point, I will have to hire another contractor to fix the issues.

Customer Service of this company is terrible. I built a pool in the past with another provider from Tampa and they were so responsive. It is NOT the case with Holiday Pools. I have called not less than 20 times and left multiple voice mails and they never have returned one single call. I moved to Lorraine Lakes in November 2021. Holiday Pools was the contractor who built the pool for Lennar.
When I closed on the home in November there were multiple issues, including that they never connected the pool lights to the electrical box. That was finally fixed after many calls, but I am still missing the automation and remote to manage the pool equipment. Every time that I call they transfer my call to ALAN, and he is never available and he NEVER returns my calls.
I have tried to talk to other people and they tell me the remote is still in back order and they are getting only few of them but they are doing only the old houses. They can't even provide me with an ETA or at least tell me how far it is and how many houses are ahead of us. It is simply crickets. They don't care at all. They don't respond. It has already been 4 months since we closed on our home and nobody has been able to provide me a reliable status or estimated time for completion.
I'm very frustrated with this company and especially the lack of communication. I have complained to Lennar as well and they tell me they are trying to do their best, but that the pool company is unresponsive and that many people are experiencing the same situation. If I knew about this I'd have preferred to build a custom pool with a professional provider instead of dealing with this lack of professionalism and terrible customer service.

I'm only giving 1 star because I couldn't give them a negative 5 stars rating. Sorry Holiday but you guys are absolutely terrible. We bought a new a new home with your pool installed last November. It took you 3 months, after we closed, to install the indoor control panel, having us to go outside each time we needed to heat the pool or spa or turn things off.
Pool was installed in October 2020. it has not functioned properly since instillation. The next issue is with the Spa leaking. The leak wizards company they called in was here within a few days, however, It's a construction issue and Holiday never showed up until 2 months later. It has been closed off waiting for repairs for 2 months multiple phone calls without responses and we were told several times they would be here to "start" the repairs after the owner was contacted.
Still they never showed up or gave a courtesy call to explain the no show or to reschedule. Recently, 3 months ago, we had another leak caused by faulty construction and losing a ton of water daily. Still under warranty, we contacted our contractor as well as your 'SERVICE' department with no return calls at all. Giving up, I contacted another company to come out and fix the leak, which they did in less than 2 weeks.
We have missed every holiday with family and friends visiting without a properly functioning pool since November. I would never recommends them regardless if they came in lower priced from everyone else believe me it's not worth it. Now Holiday, I know you respond to these reviews and ask to have them removed if you finally make up your mind to fix the issues.
My 3rd party company cost me $1845.00 to rectify your faulty work. If you want to cut me a check for even half, I'll remove this review. Else, it stays and if you lose at least one customer because of it, then it was well deserved. You can try and blame covid all you want, but these issues had nothing to do with covid, just shoddy workmanship and horrible customer service.

We selected our design, colors, and made a deposit In March 2021. Our salesperson, John, was friendly, professional and personable. He explained the timeline and estimated we'd be swimming by the end of July 2021. Construction began in August 2021. As construction progressed, communication with Jessica and Cheryl lessened and then stopped. They called the pool complete at the end of October 2021, and we scheduled the walkthrough for 11/4/21.
There were more than 10 issues noted. Holiday was quick to respond and touch up the scratches to the lanai made when they installed the plaster. They were also quick to repair the spa - which was draining 4-5" nightly or when it was turned on. However, in doing so, may have caused an electrical short in the pump/pool. We called many times and left messages for quality control, construction, and service with no return call.
We've sent countless emails with little or no response. The following are outstanding issues with no communication from Holiday about when/how they will be rectified. 1. Gunite overspray on windows and stucco in the rear of our new house (1st and 2nd floors)-will require lanai screen to be removed to access 2nd floor. We have been looking through gunite covered windows on the first and second floors since 8/21.
On 9/8/21, I requested verbally and in writing the gunite be removed before the cage installation. The request was ignored. 2. There is a slow leak at the spa return ball valve. 3. Holiday took approx. 120 sq ft. of pavers without our consent. The pavers came with the purchase of our home. On 9/8/21 and again on 9/22/21, we requested in writing that our pavers not be removed.
On 9/27/21, the pavers were taken from our property without our approval. I was told a language barrier led to the unauthorized removal. Later, I was told there is a fee to keep my pavers and I could reorder them. 4. There is stucco, brick and paint damage to the back and sides of our house from the heavy equipment used to install the pool in 8/21. Nails were left in walls and a large hole/crack left in the rear of our house.
I paid to have the large hole/crack repaired before any additional water damage could occur. 5. Bubbler on tan ledge swirls uncontrollably at random while running. Jeremy said Holiday would provide an extension piece to make it function correctly. 6. Cage door sweep keeps coming off. 7. Breakers 2&3 at pool equipment box trips on start up. Potentially a shock hazard. 8.
We should have two pool lights installed. The signed contract picture shows two lights in the pool. One was later removed from the plans without our knowledge. 9. We should have a handrail installed. The contract picture reads, Handrail: YES." We understand delays because of Covid and have been patient to this point. We paid in full and on time - we did our part.
The repairs/concessions we're requesting aren't unreasonable or require an exorbitant amount of time or manpower to complete. It is frustrating to have these issues lingering to date - some as old as 5 months. What is Holiday Pool's plan to make these right? They won't say. We need to get this behind us so we can enjoy our lanai, pool and spa. It is not unreasonable to request communication from the company whose responsibility it is to address these issues as promised. In our last attempt to get the communication lines going, we asked Holiday to simply communicate a plan to get these items resolved. No response.

Worst pool builder and customer service in the area, is our opinion! My parents purchased a pool from Taylor the daughter of the owner a year ago, she made promises that they could not keep. A year later they took our deposit and ran! Crooks It's been a year after taking deposit they can't even break ground, multiple lawsuits seen on county website for the same unsavory behavior of this company.
They were then told by by the owner's family they would start construction 2 weeks after permits never happened. They said owner was coming out, never happened, they said the son was coming out, a family of dishonest contractors, very unfortunate for anyone to experience, this was 2 years of wasted waiting on them, while they do what they want, numerous calls with no return So if your looking for a honest contractor and would like to enjoy retirement, we recommend a different company, it can't get much worse than this

I hired Holiday Pools to design and build a pool for me. The design portion went very smooth working with Taylor. Once I signed their contract and gave them a check for over $10,000, they have been completely unresponsive to my multiple requests for information. The building permit was issued in Oct 2021. I have call, emailed and texted multiple times to find out when they expect to start and have yet to get a response.
I visited there business location in Nov 2021and was told I should be next. One of their workers did stop by to look at the site in Nov 2021 and then left never to be seen again.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! This is my second review. My first review was on November 17th of 2021. I have been wrestling with these people for over a year now. I have no one to speak with at all. There is no contact person that I can communicate with. Since my first complaint, a quality control person named Dan contacted me. He assured me that this will be resolved.
If anyone is reading this, I can assure you that this is the next Olympic pool in progress. They are a horror. Even Dan does not reply anymore. I'm still sitting here with a huge mess. People show up unannounced and can't even work because they don't have the material. Almost February of 2022 and I first gave them a deposit in December of 2020. After all this time they have the nerve to ask me for more money with an invoice.
I have had to give this to an attorney and it's been slow because of covid to respond. I have damage on several parts of the property from water that has been flooding for months that's a mess. Plants and trees have died. Landscaping shells and rocks need to be replaced. Half of our property has not been able to be used. Sand and mud because of rain all inside my screen room.
No one cares. No one calls. Months go by. Some of the people that I first met have all disappeared. There was a man named Troy. He told me I was his oldest pool 6 months ago. Not even a message or phone call to see how things are. Maybe he quit. I would if I worked there. There is someone called Jessica. Not sure what her job is. I was told to contact her, she was my construction contact.
Maybe she quit too. Who knows. Two houses next to me they built a two-story 2000 sq ft home with a pool and spa 3 months ago. It's almost all finished. Men are there every day. What else can I say? Read the complaints before you think about this company. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY This is my first review ever. I am a busness owner for 47years. There is not enough for me to say in this space.
I have never had a experience dealing with anyone like this before. I gave a deposit in december of 2020 and its november of 2021 now. I have done everything, wrote letters, emails, phone coversations. They finally dug the hole on sept 30th of 2021. They left a pump in the hole thats pumping water below grade at a rapid pace. I have photos of my entire property that has been flooded.
I went and bought pvc pipe and hose to direct the water out to an area where it would be safe. I sent them emails and pictures. No response. Today is nov. 17th. someone from longboat key was taking pictures of the water that has been flooding the street. My property is a mess since the end of may when our permit was approved. I requested to speak to the owner, even mailed him a letter.
No response. I have seen pools and entire homes get completed all around me. Thrre weeks ago i recieved a email in response from jessica the person that is supossed to be my constuction contact. She replied back to me in capital letters telling me thats not her job. Also infomed me that the city is requesting a electrical permit now. I call the citys permit and they still have recieved nothing.
Water still pumping. This company is a horror and dont have no respect for there customers. Im a very busy person and have no time to be writing this. Im sure, im way more busy that the owner is of holiday pools. I dont know how anybody could work for someone like this. I have asked my office to file complaints to try and resolve this.

Gotta give pool builders a little more credit. The industry is crazy right now with labor, covid, and material shortage. A lot of issues people are upset about are due to the sheer volume of people building pools and shortage of materials. Holiday pools did everything they could to get the job done. Taylor did an amazing job with design, Jessica did a amazing job with, my other construction manager I think his name is Cody?
He is awesome solved a problem quickly. Jeremy for pool school really knows his stuff and he is great. This was my first pool and first pool build and knowing what I know now is just to have more patience give everyone credit they are dealing with a lot. No question if I did it again I would choose holiday pools.

A bought a home with a pool ostensibly built by HP. The pool is less than 4 years old and falling apart. It is losing its structural integrity and has developed leaks. The hot tub portion is pulling away from the larger pool. I requested that HP fix the pool. Their answer: Sorry, the warranty doesn't transfer to a new owner. Obviously they won't stand behind their work. So perhaps keep that in mind when buying a home that had a pool installed by HP. If you are not the original owner, they may turn their back on you like they did me.

We have had an absolutely terrible experience with them over the 10 MONTH process (that should have taken 10 weeks) and even the owner was involved and condoned the process. We had multiple errors made in construction of the pool and cage, changes were made without notification and their communication was HORRIFIC. I literally have dozens, if not a hundred, calls and emails with messages that went 90% unanswered.
They clearly just want your money and after that forget it. Shame on us for signing a contract that gives them full payment before they are completely finished, but shame on them for having such little integrity and regard for quality and customer service. We have several outstanding issues when they finally walked away.

Holiday Pools installed this beautiful pool in Gran Paradiso about three years ago. In 18 months the lions heads fell off THREE times. After 6 months of phone calls to them and empty promises, Dan (quality control person) sent out two technicians who installed the lion heads properly. Hopefully their customer service will improve. A pool is a big investment, and the company that installs it should stand behind it.
