Atlas Pools

During my 57 years of life, I have had the privilege of successfully starting, managing and selling both private and public companies. In that capacity, I have interacted, and contracted, with countless entities, both large and small. However, in my opinion, nothing in the decades in the industry could have prepared me for the level of deceit, incompetence, and absolute indifference to the client’s concerns as I experienced after hiring Atlas Pools to build my family a swimming pool. After paying them over $100,000.00 and incurring thousands more in legal fees to get them to comply with basic contract terms, I’m still having to bring in third parties to clean up after their mess. I struggle to convey just how much heartache (and heartburn), grief, and misery my family has suffered during the nearly two years it took them to build one residential swimming pool - we are not talking a pool for the Four Seasons or the 2024 Olympic Trials. I would absolutely not use this company again. However, if you are interested in staggering ineptitude, customer indifference, and the joy and privilege of incurring thousands of dollars in attorneys’ fees just to get them to comply with their contract terms, then this is the company for you.

Critical: Quality Do not use Atlas Pools! They built the pool in my house 2 years ago and it has rusting due to mesh wiring poking through on the stairs. Clearly a structural issue on the build. They will not honor the warrantee as it was built by the prior owner of the home. Buyer beware as they do not care about the quality of there work. Service: Inground pool installation

Atlas pools has completely let us down. The process started off great. The work was moving quick and things were getting done. Once we made our final large payment everything stopped. Work stopped, communication stopped. It has been like having a second job staying on top of our construction manager. If we don't contact him we would never hear anything.

We text and call multiple times and most times there is no response. When he does respond the information is vague. We are continually told we are "on the schedule" but when we ask what day and time they can't tell us. Turns out we aren't on any schedule. Our pool was supposed to be done 6.1.2022. Now they can't give us a date on when the pool will be completed.

The professionalism is lacking. The need to get things done and help this process move along is almost non existent. The communication is horrible. We have paid thousands of dollars and deserve better treatment than this.

Once again Atlas Pools of Central Fl had an opportunity to do the right thing and once again they failed miserably. Our pool is just over 3 years old and our lights recently failed. We called a company that we have used to work on our pool previously for an estimate to have the lights replaced. After receiving an estimate of more than 3000.00 I decided to get an estimate from Atlas Pools of Central FL, which is the company that built our pool.

The service department informed me that each light would cost over 1000.00 plus labor. This was 300.00 more than any other company that I called. I asked to speak to the warranty department to see if they could be of any assistance. They could not have cared less about my situation. I explained that I was just outside the 3 year, manufacturer's warranty but thought maybe Atlas Pools of Central FL could request an exception or get some type of assistance because we were so close to the expiration of the warranty period.

The warranty person gave me a flat-out "no" and they refused to even call the manufacturer on my behalf. I can only assume that the owner of Atlas Pools of Central FL forbids his employees from trying to help the customer in these types of situations. Maybe they can gouge the customer who is paying out of pocket and are forced to make less for service that is covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

Their motto should be "when the water goes in, Atlas Pools of Central FL goes away. On the bright side. I contacted the manufacturer, explained my situation and they immediately agreed to cover the cost of the lights and the labor to have them installed. The company they contacted to complete the service was at our home immediately to determine what was needed and had the job completed in less than two weeks.

It was just that easy and shows just how little effort Atlas Pools of Central FL is willing to make to ensure that their customer is happy with what I consider to be a sizable investment. One phone call from Atlas Pools of Central Fl could have saved me a great deal of time and aggravation. But no.

Quick to collect money but, never around to provide any real customer service. Synopsis below: Pool Design: Good at pool design and presentation (the only reason they get a star). Workmanship: Not Applicable (ATLAS Pools doesn't install anything. Everything is outsourced and ATLAS Pools doesn't take any responsibility for the quality of work of their own contractors.) Project Management: A concept that ATLAS Pools doesn't know how to do.

Be ready to be your own project manager. The one assigned by ATLAS will only come around when it is time to collect your money. Otherwise, it's just the subcontractors showing up and doing whatever they want without any direction. ATLAS project manager will tell you that you are their eyes on the project and should tell them how their contractors are doing. So, you are going to pay ATLAS Pools to be your own project supervisor. Warranty: Whenever they feel like it.

Good luck trying to get intouch with anyone in their customer service. You call their number, it rings for 5 minutes, someone that just happens to hear the phone picks up, and they tell you that they can't do anything for you outside of writting down your phone number and passing it along to another employee to give you a call back. That employee must be on vacation year round because you will never get a call back. In summary, work with a pool company that does all the work in house and understand that customer satisfaction should be a higher priority then their revenue.

DO NOT USE ATLAS POOLS! They will happily have you sign the contract & pay the deposit and then do nothing. Signed contact June 30, 2021. Atlas has not even applied for permit. Didn't hear from them till November when they told us we need to remove half of our driveway because impervious ratio was off. Spent months getting permit, having concrete removed & now they told us prices have gone up & the cost of the pool has risen by $14k.

They still have not applied for permit & will not provide an explanation as to why. Our sales guy, John, won't give us the name or contact information for his boss so we can try to get answers. He also won't tell us what they were doing between June & November. Only response I've gotten is that they didn't cause any delays. Their contract is totally one sided & we really have no recourse & have to keep moving forward or will lose lots more money. Shame on us for signing such an unfair contract.

It's been almost 10 months, we are not under construction and have no word when we might be. I'm sure they'll keep delaying so prices keep going up & we can owe even more. Have absolutely no confidence in the company & very disappointed that we chose them. STEER CLEAR!

Absolutely horrible experience with our custom designed and built pool and spa. Our supervisor Martin stopped responding to us, and Atlas never fulfilled the punch list despite our 9 months of follow up. In the end we had to pay an outside contractor to finish the work because we just needed the work done. Additionally, the design they provided and built for our sunken kitchen was not built to drain properly, and again we needed to find and pay a contractor to resolve the issues because Atlas stopped responding to us.

We escalated all the way to the VP who had the same mentality of his team and didn't value proper customer communication or issue management. Atlas does not value its customers in any way. I cannot recommend enough that you DO NOT build a pool with Atlas.

Michael Hayden design consultant at Atlas Pools designed our pool and it just turned out Exactly like he had envisioned and promised. Michael will do a phenomenal 3D Rendering of the pool and present it to you and you will be able to tweak it as you wish for a model luxury home result like ours. Michael is extremely responsive, helpful, Knowledgeable and an irreplaceable asset to Atlas Pools.

I would also want to mention Cammy McKenna at Atlas pool she was very supportive and responsive and helped give finality to the project. Atlas pools built our amazing luxury state home and they did an incredible job. I highly recommend without reservation, Atlas, Michael, Cammy and the whole team! Jorge G.

Do NOT to use, Atlas Pools of Central Florida! Our pool was filled towards the end of August this year and the finish looked terrible as soon as it was filled with water. After brushing and treating without the stains fading, Atlas said that the pool would need to be drained and acid washed. They came sometime in the 2nd week of September to do so.

Once the pool was filled for second time, it again had a lot of stains. Not imperfections or blemishes. Large stains and streaks. Atlas again said that it needed to be drained and acid washed because the first person who acid washed it didn't do a good job. So against or better judgement, we allowed them to drain and acid wash our pool again. This is the end result.

I waited for a bit to contact Atlas pools because we had already been threatened by their owner several times and I just wanted to be done with them in fear of retaliation by him. After talking to a lot of people, I decided that I needed to contact Atlas because we paid a lot of money for our pool and it should not look this terrible. I contacted them today and they are stating that it is not covered by warranty because our "pool chemistry is not correct", (even though it is totally normal for a new pool and would not cause these types of stains).

So their answer was to contact pinch a penny to recommend a chemical to fix it. Meanwhile, it's been like this since day one of water! Please whatever you do, stay away from Atlas Pools. Let my pictures be the proof you need that not only are they a terrible pool builder, but they don't stand behind their work and have the most awful customer service I've ever experienced! From start to finish nothing but problems, lies and terrible customer service.

I originally hired Atlas Pools because they built amazing pools for my clients. I do not regret my decision. Mike Hayden (our designer) designed a phenomenal pool and backyard space. It feels like we are on vacation everyday. He is extremely talented and gifted. The Picasso of pool design! Ronald McDermid was our project manager during the construction of the pool.

He was on site supervising the work and making sure everything was done correctly. When they were concreting the pool he was in trenches measuring everything himself to make sure it was done perfectly. I can't say enough about this great company their work ethic. My wife and I are extremely satisfied. I have no problem referring them to my friends and clients. Thank you Atlas Pools for turning our backyard into paradise.

They were very helpful when I asked for a consultation and while I didn't choose to go through with getting a pool built ... they were just so amazing that I would reccomend them anyway.

I hired Atlas for a renovation. My pool was resurfaced,tiles, and a new coping was added. All phases went smoothly and were handled extremely professionally. We love the transformation our pool has experienced. Thank you Atlas.
